Introduction
The storage allows you to have your own storage space where you can monitor the status of each order and download assets. An asset is a unique item associated to a successful order or a fresh image captured through sensor tasking and it contains the downloadable geospatial dataset. The assets that get delivered to the storage originate from data platform ordering (API and catalog interface), job runs and tasking operations.
This guide assumes that you already ordered readily available geospatial datasets. For more information, please refer to Data Platform: Getting Started.
Advantages
The storage has the following advantages:
- It provides immediate access to fresh datasets acquired through tasking operations
- It centralizes all the datasets downloaded via job runs or data platform orders
- It allows you to re-use the previously downloaded datasets into workflows and perform further analytics
The assets are only delivered as ZIP archives.
The assets delivered to the storage must originate from the specific data providers or from tasking operations.
