WorldDEM Full Resolution

Provides a worldwide, consistent, and high precision Digital Surface Model (DSM) at 12 m resolution in GeoTIFF format.

Analytics platform discontinued after January 31, 2024

The current analytics platform will be discontinued after January 31, 2024, and will be replaced by new advanced processing functionalities. This change will affect projects, workflows, jobs, data blocks, processing blocks, and custom blocks. For more information, see the blog post.

A data block that provides access to a Digital Surface Model derived from the TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X satellites. The data acquisition started in January 2011 and was completed by mid-2015.

Dataset description

WorldDEM is a Digital Surface Model that represents the surface of Earth including buildings, infrastructure and vegetation. This dataset includes hydrological corrections, i.e. flattened water bodies and consistent flow of rivers, as well as shore- and coastline editing. For more information, please refer to the WorldDEM Technical Product Specification.
